Alex Seligson—a managing partner of Cullman Clinical Trials—has been doing it all when it comes to his clients. He opened his own business after 17 years in sales and, while it took him two years of intentional discernment, he took a leap of faith. Alex knows that his clinic’s partners are strapped for time, and he orchestrates and helps set up new, lucrative revenue streams. 

About Alex

Alex studied at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, earning a bachelor’s degree in both business administration and entrepreneurship. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned his MBA. 

Since 2017, he has been a managing partner with Cullman Clinical Trials, an ancillary service to physician practices. The company’s overall mission is to persuade doctors to do additional services in their own offices—without having the pressure to take on more work. This is done by setting up labs, pharmacies, and clinical trials within each medical practice. 

Membership with EO Birmingham 

Seligson has been a member of EO Birmingham for the past year-and-a-half, after exploring a YPO group. His company wasn’t quite large enough to be in a YPO, so he checked out EO Birmingham and was hooked from then on. 

The biggest benefit of being part of EO Birmingham, according to Alex, is how he learned to work on the business rather than in the business. In his words, he had gotten too wrapped up in the details of his past business ownerships—but has since learned that he needs to wisely delegate his tasks. This ultimately frees him up to focus on the bigger picture of his growing company. Through his membership with EO Birmingham and because of this tried-and-true, peer-given advice, he has moved his company forward with great haste.
